Register Team

Team name is what appears on the scorecard and leaderboard. Registering unlocks the league table and scorecards — until then you can only browse the golfer pools.

Already registered? Log in

One team per email address. If you've registered before — on this device or another — put the same email in here to pick your draft back up rather than starting a second entry.

This is a convenience log-in, not a secure account — there's no password, and anyone with the league code can already see every entrant's picks. Don't treat it as private.

League Table

The Prize — a proposal

Two prizes doing two different jobs. One is guaranteed and paid by the sponsor. The other is a long-odds jackpot carried by an insurer, which is what makes a headline number affordable.

1 · Champion's prize · guaranteed

Someone wins the league every single time, so this can't be insured — it's a straightforward sponsor cost. Kept modest and experiential rather than cash.

Fourball on the Majlis

Hospitality for next year's tournament

Pro-shop or club credit

Signed pin flag or memorabilia

2 · The jackpot · insured

Long odds by design. An underwriter prices the premium against the chance of it landing; the sponsor pays that premium, the insurer pays any winner. Most years it goes unclaimed — and it is still the reason people enter.

Named and presented by the sponsor

Headline value, fraction of the cost

Pooled and split if more than one entrant qualifies

The proposed jackpot condition

The jackpot needs to be genuinely hard to hit, or no underwriter will quote it. The narrower the condition, the cheaper the premium — and the more dramatic the moment when it does land.

One hole. One round. The last day, with hospitality full and the tournament live. Narrow enough to be insurable, and a moment worth watching for.

Possible condition	Rough likelihood	Trade-off
Ace by your golfer on any of their six holes	High	Too likely — premium approaches the prize value
Ace on one named hole, any round	Moderate	Sponsor owns that hole for the week
Ace on a named hole in a named round	Low	Insurable, but less of a talking point
Ace on the 15th, final round	Low	Maximum drama for minimum premium

Likelihoods above are directional only. Actual odds depend on field size, entrant numbers and the exact wording of the condition — all of which an underwriter prices, not us.

Why it's structured this way

Insurance only prices uncertainty. A prize somebody always wins is a cost, not a risk — so the champion's prize is funded directly and the jackpot is the part that carries odds.
The Majlis has four par-3s — the 4th, 7th, 11th and 15th. Each six-hole segment contains only one or two of them, so a picked golfer gets very few chances at an ace within their own stretch.
Entrants share golfers, so a single ace could qualify many entrants at once. The jackpot is therefore a fixed pool split between everyone who qualifies, never a full payout each — that cap is what makes it quotable.
Nothing is paid by the platform. Entry is free, no money passes through this app, and any insured prize is paid by the underwriter directly.

This page is deliberately provisional. If you're a potential sponsor, or you think the condition should work differently, we'd rather hear it now than after it's set.

How It Works

The full ruleset, in one place — everything below is what the app enforces automatically.

1 · The Field & Pools

50 golfers, ranked and split into four tiers: Tier A (ranks 1–12), Tier B (13–25), Tier C (26–38), Tier D (39–50).
The field is arranged into 12 pools of four golfers each — one from every tier per pool.
Tiers B and C each carry 13 golfers rather than 12, so Pool 12 carries a bonus 5th (extra Tier B) golfer and Pool 11 carries a bonus 5th (extra Tier C) golfer — the two weakest pools, evening things out slightly.

2 · The Draft

The tournament is split into 12 segments of six holes each (three per round, four rounds).
Each entrant drafts all 12 golfers upfront, before the tournament begins — click a golfer to draft them; their pool locks immediately and can't be used again.
Picks fill segments in the order you draft them: your 1st pick covers Segment 1, your 6th covers Segment 6, and so on. The strategy sits entirely in what order you draft your pools, not in reacting to live play.
Every pool and every golfer can be used only once per entrant, ever. Different entrants may back the same golfer — only one entrant's own picks need stay unique.
Once all 12 picks are made, hit Submit & lock draft. This freezes every pick — only the organiser can unlock it afterward. Do this before Round 1 tees off; a draft that isn't submitted can still be edited, including with the benefit of hindsight from rounds already played.

3 · Tier Quotas

Every Pool has one golfer from each tier: A (1–12) · B (13–25) · C (26–38) · D (39–50).
Across Days 1 & 2, every entrant's picks must include at least one C-rated and one D-rated golfer. The other four of those six early picks are free choice.
Across Days 3 & 4, every entrant's picks must include at least three B-rated golfers — without this, it's a dominant strategy to stack Tier A for the entire back half of the tournament.
No team can be submitted unless it meets both quotas — the draft simply won't lock in until they're satisfied.
Missed-cut waiver: if every remaining golfer in a required tier has missed the real cut before a quota's fulfilled, that requirement is waived.

4 · Scoring & The Cut

Each segment score is strokes-to-par for those six holes. Scores accumulate — nothing resets.
Days 1–2 (Segments 1–6) have no eliminations — every entrant plays on regardless of score, exactly like a real tournament before the cut.
After Round 2, one cut is made: roughly the top 50% by cumulative score survive. If a tie sits right on that line, the cut extends to keep the whole tied group in — the same "and ties" convention as a real tour cut, so nobody's cut on a coin-flip tie.
Days 3–4 (Segments 7–12) run as a straight, open leaderboard — no further eliminations, purely a race for the best cumulative score.

Segment locks are a separate, independent control — they freeze picks for a specific stretch of holes once it's underway, regardless of whether that segment is before or after the cut.

5 · Ties

Ties are resolved by countback through the entrant's own segment scores, most recent segment first.
This compares each entrant's personal run of picks, not the golfer they share.
A true, fully-tested tie across all 12 segments splits the prize.

This is a companion tool for a private prediction pool. Nothing here constitutes betting, and no money changes hands through the app itself.

How It Works

The full ruleset for the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links, in one place — everything below is what the app enforces automatically.

1 · The Field & Pools

Abu Dhabi is the first of the two DP World Tour Play-Offs, contested by the leading 70 on the Race to Dubai. The top 50 after this week go through to the season finale in Dubai.
The 70 are ranked and split into four tiers: Tier A (1–18), Tier B (19–35), Tier C (36–52), Tier D (53–70).
The field is arranged into 8 pools, each holding roughly two golfers from every tier.
Because 70 does not divide evenly by 8, six golfers are left over. They are dealt to the weakest pools first, so the extras reinforce the thin end rather than stacking up behind the best players.

2 · The Draft

The tournament is split into 8 segments of nine holes — a front nine and a back nine on each of the four days.
Each entrant drafts all 8 golfers upfront, before play begins. Clicking a golfer drafts them and locks their pool, which cannot be used again.
Picks fill segments in the order you draft them: your 1st pick covers Segment 1, your 5th covers Segment 5, and so on. The strategy is entirely in the order you draft, not in reacting to live play.
Every pool and every golfer can be used only once per entrant. Different entrants may back the same golfer — only your own picks need stay unique.
Once all 8 picks are made, hit Submit & lock draft. Do this before Round 1 tees off; an unsubmitted draft can still be edited, including with the benefit of hindsight.

3 · Tier Quotas

Across Days 1 & 2 — your first four picks — you must include at least one C-rated and one D-rated golfer. The other two are free choice.
Across Days 3 & 4 — your last four picks — you must include at least two B-rated golfers, so the back half cannot simply be stacked with Tier A.
No team can be submitted until both quotas are satisfied — the draft will not lock in.
Missed-cut waiver: if every remaining golfer in a required tier has missed the real cut before a quota is filled, that requirement is waived.

4 · Scoring & The Cut

Each segment scores as your golfer's strokes to par over those nine holes. Scores accumulate — nothing resets.
Days 1–2 (Segments 1–4) have no eliminations — everyone plays on regardless of score.
After Round 2, one cut is made to roughly the top 50%. A tie sitting on the line extends the cut to keep the whole tied group in, the same "and ties" convention as a real tour cut.
Days 3–4 (Segments 5–8) run as a straight, open leaderboard — no further eliminations, purely a race for the best cumulative score.

5 · Ties

Ties are resolved by countback through the entrant's own segment scores, most recent segment first.
This compares each entrant's personal run of picks, not the golfers they happen to share.
A true tie across all 8 segments splits the prize.

How It Works

The full ruleset for the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates, in one place — everything below is what the app enforces automatically.

1 · The Field

The DP World Tour Championship is contested by the top 50 in the Race to Dubai over four rounds on the Earth Course, so the top 50 is not a shortlist — it is the entire field.
There is no cut. Every golfer plays all four rounds, so no pick can be knocked out.
The 50 are ranked and split into four tiers: Tier A (ranks 1–12), Tier B (13–25), Tier C (26–38), Tier D (39–50).
Every golfer carries a price in credits, published before drafting opens and fixed once the organiser locks it.

2 · Drafting Your Four

Pick one golfer from each tier — four in total.
Their combined price must not exceed the credit budget shown at the top of your draft.
A golfer greys out only when picking them could not lead to a legal four, even paired with the cheapest option in every remaining tier.
Different entrants may back the same golfer. There is no exclusivity.
Submit and lock your four before the first round's deadline. After that only the organiser can change them.

3 · One Golfer, One Round

Each of your four golfers plays one full 18-hole round and is then spent. Over the week your four cover all 72 holes.
You choose who plays which round. You may set all four in advance and rearrange them freely.
A round's choice locks 1 hour before that day's first tee, or when the organiser locks it by hand, whichever comes first.
Once a round locks, that golfer is spent and disappears from your remaining rounds. Whoever is left plays Sunday.
Missed a deadline? Your highest-ranked remaining golfer is played for you. Every golfer plays eventually, so this decides the order, not the selection — and spending your best card early is a real cost.

4 · Scoring

Each round scores as that golfer's strokes to par over the full 18 holes.
Your tournament score is the sum of your four rounds. Lowest total wins.
The leaderboard updates as scores are entered, so a partly-scored round shows as a dash rather than a zero.

5 · Ties

Ties are settled on countback from Sunday backwards — best final round wins, then Saturday, then Friday, then Thursday.
Countback separates the overwhelming majority of ties, but it cannot split two entrants who picked the same four golfers in the same order.
So every entrant submits a prediction of the winning score to par when they draft. Closest prediction takes any tie countback leaves standing.
The prediction is required, and is locked along with your four golfers.

This is a companion tool for a private prediction pool. Nothing here constitutes betting, and no money changes hands through the app itself.

Organiser Session

You're signed in as the organiser. This unlocks score entry, entrant management, the official-league setting and every entrant's picks. The session lasts until you sign out or reload the page — it is never stored on this device.

The password is held in the database, not in this page. To change it, update the site admin password in Supabase directly.

Pre-launch Mode

While this is on, everyone landing on the site sees the register-of-interest page and the calendar, even if a competition league already exists. Turn it off on launch day and visitors go straight into the live competition as normal. Your own invite links (the ones with the league code after the #) always work either way.

Clear Practice Teams

Wipes every entrant, draft and pick from this league so the real thing starts clean. Each entrant's name and email is copied to the register of interest first, so you can still invite them when it opens — practice teams are added there as they register too, this is the belt and braces.

Register of Interest

Everyone who has asked to be told when a draft opens, newest first. Collected on the front page while the game isn't live yet.

This League

Everything this league is set up as — course, field, rules and scores. Each event runs as its own separate league, so nothing here affects the others.

First Tee Time

New registration and any draft changes (picks, undo, submit-and-lock draft edits) automatically close 1 hour before this time. Score entry stays open throughout the tournament regardless — this only affects registration and drafting.

Tournament & Course

Set this up before sending the league out for enrollment. It appears read-only on the player-facing Scorecards tab — players cannot edit any of it.

Round Locks & Result

Each round closes to changes one hour before its first tee time. Set the tee times here; a round with no tee time will never close on its own, so lock it by hand if you need to. Anyone who has not chosen by then has their highest-ranked remaining golfer played automatically.

Once the tournament finishes, enter the real winning score to par. It is only used to settle ties that survive countback, against each entrant's prediction.

Credit Budget & Prices

Entrants draft four golfers — one from each tier — and their combined price must not exceed the budget. Both the budget and the price ladder are editable right up until you lock them, so the final call can wait until the field is known after Abu Dhabi.

Budget (credits)

Price ladder — the top and bottom price in each tier; everything between interpolates

Prices slide evenly from the top of a tier to the bottom, so if you re-rank the field the whole ladder re-prices itself. Editing these updates the calibration above instantly.

Every golfer's price, derived from the ladder. Type over any figure to override it for that golfer alone; leave it blank to fall back to the ladder.

The Cut

Just like the real tournament: no eliminations across Days 1–2, one cut after Round 2 to roughly the top 50%, then Days 3–4 run as a straight, open leaderboard to a single champion.

Manage Entrants

Edit the field (rank, name, tier) — only needed to correct a name or re-rank before the draft opens

Seeded from current Race to Dubai form — a starting point, not gospel. Editing a rank here reshuffles the tiers and pools automatically.

Click any name or rank to edit it.

Rank	Golfer	Tier	Pool

Missed Cut (Days 3 & 4)

Mark any golfer who missed the real cut. For Days 3 & 4 only, any entrant who picked them automatically gets the next tier up in that same pool instead — same rule for everyone, applied live, no need to touch individual entrants' picks. If there's no tier above (a Tier A golfer, or everyone above them also missed the cut), it falls back to the next best golfer still standing in that same pool instead.

Rank	Golfer	Tier	Pool	Missed cut?

Score Entry

Set up scores in draft here — nothing appears on any player's scorecard until you submit it. Enter each real golfer's score once, not once per entrant; every player who drafted that golfer for the matching day picks it up automatically the moment it's submitted, however many entrants there are.

Official League

Anyone arriving without a league code is offered the official league for each event — no code needed. There is one slot per event, so all three can be official at once and entrants choose which they are entering on the way in. If only one is set, they go straight into it and never see the chooser.
